Google的Server名称

在Google返回的网页HTTP head中，能看到很多Google的web Server名称。最常见的是GWS和GFE。

Google的Server名称还有很多，大多是以用途命名。由于名称的种类繁多，而且多数是缩写，往往看得人不知所云。看了下面的表格就会清楚了。这份清单来自 Google Operating System，我做了少许修改、扩充。

另，Google的Server基本都是经Google修改的Apache或jetty，运行在Linux上，并没有名称那么多样和复杂。

Google Server名称 含义解释
GWS (Google Web Server) 是运行在Linux上的经Google修改的Apache，用于Web、图像搜索及其他服务
GFE/1.3 (Google Front-End) 用于Gmail, Calendar, Picasa Web Albums, Docs, Blogger, orkut, Reader及其他服务
